We open all packages arriving in Miami for the following reasons: 

  1. Verify that the invoice matches the contents of the package to not overcharge you for customs duties
  2. Ensure that the package has not been damaged in tranist to our Miami hub
  3. Report the serial number or IMEI of electronic equipment when required by the Attorney General's Office
  4. Ensure the package does not contain hazmat items that are restricted for shipping
  5. Ensure the package does not contain items that are illegal to import or restricted by local customs
